This single-origin coffee from 1000 Faces Coffee, Armando Quinteros, comes from a two-hectare farm in the El Volcanito region of Guatemala, part of the Café Colis Resistencia group of Xinca growers. Armando has grown and processed his coffee on his own farm, a departure from the more common practice of selling cherry to intermediaries, and the roaster has intentionally purchased nearly his entire harvest for multiple seasons. In the cup, it is comforting and classic, with heavy sweetness and familiar flavors like milk chocolate, brown sugar, and nut butter, with a juicy fruit acidity reminiscent of apple and cherry.
