Evans Brothers first met Maria Escobar at the 2019 Best of Huehuetenango competition, where her small farm earned 5th place out of more than 100 entries thanks to its classic milk chocolate and blackberry profile. Since then, Evan's Brothers partnered with Maria annually, purchasing her entire harvest at a premium to recognize and reward her work. With support from Atlas Coffee Importers, this relationship has grown into a sustainable, long-term collaboration. This year’s lot is one of Misto's staff's favorite coffees. It's silky and balanced with layers of vanilla, praline, and milk chocolate, lifted by vibrant notes of strawberry, blackberry, melon, mandarin, and delicate florals.
