Three years ago Xavier Alexander, a roasting manager and QC specialist from Intelligentsia, and Darko Andrejovic, owner of Chicago's Caffe Streets, came together to build something unique out of their individual experiences: a service-forward roasting company that would both reflect their midwestern roots and enhance their global coffee community. Metric Coffee was born. Working on a vintage 1960s German roaster out of an historic Chicago factory building, Metric Coffee Roasting Co. represents the utilization of time-tested methods evolving to build new traditions, Metric coffee's mission is to bring in the most exceptional coffees sourced from all over the world, and roast them with both integrity and a willingness to experiment, so that each shines in your cup with a warm familiarity and a sense of adventure and excitement.
